Matt is a graduate from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology (exercise science) degree, followed by a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. Matt has completed post graduate training in advanced manual therapy and facial movement taping. Matt plans to continue the manual therapy level courses through the orthopaedic division, as well as acupuncture in the near future.
Matt believes that each person and injury is different from the next therefore, physiotherapy assessment and treatment should be specific, precise and individualized. Matt believes in the whole body approach and treating the root cause of the problem, rather than just the presentation of symptoms. Treatment’s may focus on bio-mechanical dysfunctions, motor control/movement patterns, exercise habits, workstation ergonomics, postural education, stress management and much more more.
Outside of physiotherapy, Matt lives an active lifestyle as he enjoys playing hockey, golf, hiking and exercising at the gym. Matt likes to spend his down time with family and friends, weekends at the lake, and following the Jets.
